Manning multiple ships in port can be an issue if you reduce their manning when there not being used (saves money). Four of them can handle any mission you will find in port when capturing ships. To me MOW's fully upgraded are lethal in battle. To many men to man and pay and they handle like crap no matter how much you upgrade. Don't waste your time and money on the big ships. This is a quick way to wipe out a fleet when you attack a port. Pop some powder kegs in a bunch and sail away when they get close. Get them behind you a ways and drop anchor. Gunpowder kegs are the easiest way to kill any ship. Then get the skills and equipment to board a ship. Get all your captain skills but the first ones should be for gunpowder, mortars, and to pay your crew less money. I am sure most players already know some of this, but if you don't, here goes. I am bored so I thought I would list some things I have learned that might help some get ahead in the game quicker. I have two fleets of four Man of Wars in two ports and a schooner to search for treasure maps. To me sailing in to battle with multiple ships is the most enjoyable thing about the game and finding buried treasure is also pretty cool. I have made it all the way thru and now just hunt ships to loot and sell and search for treasure. Hail to the Captain! Sail into the heart of the Caribbean in the Age of Piracy - the time of black flags and white skulls, blue waves and golden opportunities.I have been playing this game for awhile and it is challenging at first until you learn some tactics/tricks to get ahead and make enough money to buy decent ships and upgrade them.
